Footprint Labels
Much like we require food companies to have nutritional labeling we should push for any products to carry labels denoting the resulting carbon released from its manufacture, packaging and minimum travel. Doing so would allow those who wish to shop more ethically to do so whilst also encouraging 'carbon competition' between companies encouraging changes in manufacture and also the behaviour of consumers.
